January 30 — Mega Evolution: Ascended Heroes. The first set of the Mega Evolution era launched with over 290 cards, making it the largest English set in Pokemon TCG history. Headlined by Mega Gengar ex, Mega Charizard Y ex, Mega Dragonite ex, and more. Available in booster displays (36 packs), Elite Trainer Boxes, and booster bundles. The set introduced Mega Hyper Rares as the new ultra-premium chase tier and set the tone for the entire 2026 collecting year.
February 2026
February 20 — Ascended Heroes Mini Tins and Elite Trainer Box variant. Additional sealed products for the Ascended Heroes set, offering different entry points for collectors and players. March 14–22 — Perfect Order Prerelease Events. Build & Battle Boxes with exclusive Serperior, Barbaracle, Tyrantrum, and Doublade promo cards. March 20 — First Partner Illustration Collection Series 1. Nine Illustration Rare starter promos from Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola. March 20 — Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir Premium Poster Collections plus Deluxe Pin Collection with Legends: Z-A starters. March 27 — Mega Evolution: Perfect Order. The second mainline Mega Evolution set with 124 cards featuring Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Starmie ex, Mega Clefable ex, and Mega Skarmory ex. Available in booster displays, ETBs, Pokemon Center ETBs (11 packs), and booster bundles.
April 2026
April 3 — 2025 World Championships Decks. Reconstructed decks from the 2025 World Championship finalists, featuring stamped reprints of the winning lists. Great for competitive players who want to learn meta strategies at a budget price. April 10 — Standard Format Rotation takes effect for in-person Play! Pokemon events. All G-regulation cards rotate out. April 23 — Ascended Heroes Booster Bundles reprint plus Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, and Mega Feraligatr ex individual collection boxes. These themed boxes feature one of the headline Mega Pokemon with packs and a promo card.
May 2026
May 9–22 — Chaos Rising Prerelease Events. Build & Battle Boxes with exclusive prerelease promo cards. May 22 — Mega Evolution: Chaos Rising. The fourth Mega Evolution set with 122 cards headlined by Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex, Mega Floette ex, and Mega Dragalge ex. Available in booster displays, Elite Trainer Boxes, and collection boxes. Mega Greninja ex SIR is projected as the top chase card of the year.
Summer and Autumn 2026
Exact dates for summer releases have not been confirmed yet, but based on the established release cadence, expect additional Mega Evolution sets and First Partner Illustration Collection Series 2 and Series 3 covering the remaining starter regions — Johto, Hoenn, Unova, Kalos, Galar, and Paldea. The headline release for the second half of the year is the 30th Anniversary Special Set in October 2026 — the first-ever simultaneous global TCG release featuring reimagined iconic cards including Base Set Charizard and Aquapolis Crystal Lugia.
